disk antivirus professional

Disk Antivirus is rogue fake anti-spyware virus that pretends to be a legitimate anti-virus program. Once infected with Disk Antivirus Professional, fake scan results and security warnings will appear. The Disk Antivirus Professional Virus will also block access to your programs and applications, and may even block access to the internet. Disk Antivirus Professional attempts to extort money from innocent users by tricking them into believing they have a number of problems with their computer, and that they should purchase a license key to activate Disk Antivirus Professional. If you’re infected with Disk Antivirus Professional, do not attempt to activate the program or send any money.

Operating systems affected by Disk Antivirus Professional are: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.

Advanced Removal Guide

This removal guide is for ADVANCED COMPUTER USERS ONLY.
We take no responsibility for any damage incurred to your computer by use of this guide!

  1. Ensure your have proper backups of your data!

Is your data backed up? Virus removal is a potentially dangerous task for the untrained computer user. If your information isn’t backed up, you may lose it. Once you’ve ensured you have a decent backup of your data, continue on. Sometimes viruses can block access to your desktop, programs, and files. Please balance the risk before continuing!

  2. Boot Your Computer into Safe Mode with Networking

With the computer turned all the way off (completely shut down), you should then power the computer back on and begin tapping the F8 key on your keyboard. Once you reach the Advanced Startup Menu, you can use your up and down arrows to navigate and the enter key to continue. (Screenshot below)

  3. safemodebootup

  4. Login and View your Desktop

You may notice a bunch of files scrolling as your computer boots up, this is normal. You may need to click your username to log on, or if you do not have a password/multiple users it will boot right into to the Desktop.

  5. Open Internet Browser

Open your preferred internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox Mozilla, or Google Chrome) to download removal software below on the infected computer.

  6. Download and Run a Full Scan with MalwareBytes

Download MalwareBytes here. This is hands down, the BEST virus/spyware removal tool available. If you can afford the one time fee of $25, it’s worth every penny to buy the pro version, which will protect you from future infections like this and keep hackers from stealing your identity. If not, the Free MalwareBytes will work, but will not protect you from any future attacks.

  7. Install and Run MalwareBytes

Once you’ve finished downloading Malwarebytes, you should run it and install it like a normal program. You should see this screen when it’s ready:

  8. Malwarebytes scan

  9. Select “Full Scan” and then click Scan.

The scan will take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, maybe even longer if you have a lot of data on your computer.

  10. Remove the Infected Files

Once the scan finishes, go ahead and click OK to view the found files. If nothing was found, you’re all finished.

  11. <
    Malwarebytes scan completed detected

  12. Remove Remaining Infected Files

You should see a list of files MalwareBytes detected. Next hit “Remove Selected”. You may need to reboot your computer as this point. That’s normal! Go ahead and let MalwareBytes reboot your computer.

  13. Boot Back into Windows

Your computer should boot back into Windows normally now. Check to make sure you can get online using a web browser, then proceed.

  14. Install an Effective Anti-Virus Solution

Your computer was just infected. This could be because of poor performing anti-virus software, outdated definitions, or no anti-virus software running at all.

Anti-virus software is available FREE. There is no reason why your computer shouldn’t be protected. Clearly, the paid versions are better than the free (more features), but both are effective. We recommend pairing any of the anti-virus below with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO Available Here.

Here are the top performing anti-virus programs we’ve tested:

  15. Ensure You Have Backups

You’ve managed to avoid disaster this time, but what if this happened again, or you had a fire, hard drive failure, or robbery? If you have important information on your computer, it needs to be backed up! You can do this by copying your data to an External Hard Drive, USB Flash Drive, or by subscribing to an online backup service.

One of the best ways to keep your data backed up, without the hassle, is to use an online service like Carbonite. Instead of having to manually backup your information, Carbonite runs in the background of your computer, and will upload all your data via a secure connection to their offsite server. It’s hands down the easiest and best way to prevent data loss. We even use it here at Online Virus Repair headquarters! They offer a free month trial, and it does not require any credit card info to try it out. Check out Carbonite

  16. All Done!

That’s it! It would be a good idea to run a full scan with your anti-virus software to ensure there aren’t any remaining malicious files.

I have that dreaded Disk Antivirus Professional. I am currently in safe mode and will switch functions now. Not sure it will work as I just installed Norton and it did not work in the regular mode, so I had to come back to safe mode and try the kill software. I will up date

Hi folks, the Disk Antivirus Pro. appeared this morning and tok control of my netbook (windows 7)…. I managed to find and reach your site… and download RKill….. I then started to transfer all my files to my external hard-drive…. including Desk-Top, which was 139 GB and took ages… then it occurred to me that maybe I was downloading the virus to my external hard-drive….after the desk-top finished loading I prepared myself to start the virus elimination…. when, lo and behold, the virus seemed to have let go of my computer, I was able to open Skype etc. …. so the question is, is that what normally happens ? Some kind of duration thingy…. I’m not naive enough to think that the virus has self-eliminated, which leads me to my second question….now that I can access everyting do I need to start the comp. in “safe-mode” or can I just run RKill in normal operating mode ? Thanks for any help/info that you can give me, cheers, Chris.

Thank you very much everyone.
